As all bridal gowns are different in how they are made and what alterations will entail, it is very hard to quote prices over the phone. Many gowns fall in the range of $150 to $300. The estimate is generally a range, such as $150 to $2oo, and is not exceeded unless additional work not originally included is needed.
For the initial fitting, the bride should have the shoes and any undergarments she will be wearing with the dress. This enables me to measure accurately to ensure the proper fit. Bra cups may be sewn into the gown instead of the bride wearing a bra, if she chooses. All required alterations will be discussed as well as any of the brides particular concerns or ideas. The cost of alterations will be estimated at this time , and a deposit will be required.
Bridals by Joyce specializes in bridal gown alterations. I am able to alter the gown to a perfect fit and also to customize the gown to a bride's particular style. This might include anything from changing the neckline of the gown to making custom accessories. I very much want to see the bride completely happy with her gown in every way.
At the second fitting, the gown will often be ready to go. However, there may be some slight adjustment still needed, or something new may be noticed as needing some work. A third fitting will then be needed. There is generally no charge for additional fittings.
